No. Clean Look is a purely physical install — it hides your dongle or AI box neatly with no software changes. Elite Air, Elite Bundle and Elite Max are sideload packages, and the sideload work is included in the package price. Your original firmware is fully backed up before anything changes, so your IHU is 100% recoverable to original.

It's your choice in the Bench Builder. Bring your own hardware — a CarlinKit 3.0 Original (CPC200-CCPA) dongle is around RM130–150 and a CarlinKit AI Box Ambient 8GB+128GB around RM480–550 on Shopee, Lazada or TikTok Shop — or let the installer provide a pre-configured unit: AI Box 8GB/128GB (RM599) or Original AACP Dongle (RM180).

Installation packages are always done face-to-face so everything is tested on the spot, on your car. We cover the Klang Valley and the Northern Region, by appointment. The Plug & Play Modified AACP Dongle is the exception: it ships nationwide.

Sideload is an advanced method that lets us install and run additional apps directly on your car's infotainment system (IHU) — beyond what's originally allowed by the manufacturer. It's how Elite Air, Elite Bundle and Elite Max add their apps on top of your existing IHU software.

Sideloading is currently available for three Proton models in Malaysia:

• Proton X50 RC — IHU Software Versions v115, v144
• Proton X90 — IHU Software Versions v638, v647, v651, v694, v722, v735

Elite Air, Elite Bundle and Elite Max sideloading supports: Proton S70 (v202, v209, v300, v333), Proton X50 RC (v115, v144), and Proton X90 (v638, v647, v651, v694, v722, v735). Yes — as long as your model and IHU software version are supported. If your IHU module doesn't have a developer port, the Elite sideload is still possible, but a RM50 surcharge applies for the extra work involved.

A developer port is a physical hardware port some IHU units already have that makes Elite sideload work easier.

• If it doesn't — the sideload is still possible, but a RM50 surcharge applies for the extra work involved.

How to tell if your unit has one:

• Proton S70 — check your original tyre brand: cars that came with Goodyear tyres have the developer port; cars that came with Kumho tyres don't.
• Proton X50 RC & X90 — cars from 2024 and earlier have the developer port; 2025 and newer don't.

Yes. Because the Elite sideload packages involve system-level access to your IHU, it may affect your Proton manufacturer warranty. Please weigh this before booking. Clean Look, which doesn't touch your IHU software at all, is the no-sideload alternative.

Yes — it involves system-level access. That said, it's done in a controlled, structured way: focused only on enabling the apps in your chosen package, with your original firmware fully backed up first and no unnecessary system changes.

Backing up your original firmware is included in every sideload — that's what makes your IHU 100% recoverable. Actually restoring it back to factory settings is a separate face-to-face appointment (Klang Valley or Northern Region) for a RM100 restore fee.

The Plug & Play Modified AACP Dongle is a ready-made, custom-configured device that connects to your Proton's IHU USB port — no appointment, no system modification required. It arrives ready to plug in.

The dongle unlocks:

A wired connection is also supported if you'd rather plug in directly.

Yes, it's safe. The dongle works as an external plug-in device connected via USB — it doesn't modify your IHU system in any way, so your car's manufacturer warranty is unaffected.

Clean Look and the Elite sideload packages (Elite Air, Elite Bundle, Elite Max) carry a 3-month warranty. The Plug & Play Modified AACP Dongle carries a separate 2-week warranty. For sideload packages, the 3-month warranty is voided if you install your own apps or APKs on the IHU after our sideload. This is to protect you: unverified third-party apps can conflict with what we've installed and destabilize the system, and once that happens we can no longer tell whether a fault came from our work or from something added afterward — so we can't fairly diagnose or cover it under warranty.
